It is almost summer so naturally this means the best summer fragrances list is out. We are gone talk about some of my personal favorites. How they feel in day and day life and can change the confidence of a person.
Aqua Media Cologne Forte
Let’s go in with fragrance number one Aqua Media Cologne Forte from MFK. I am obsessed with this fragrance. A really refreshing green citrus scent. Now the notes are quite unusual, there is matcha tea, fennel, citruses, it’s unusual but I promise you it works. Smells like a iced verbena infused lemonade. So take your lemonade and infuse it with verbena, that is what this fragrance smells like. It’s very cooling, very refreshing.
Solaris from Penhaligon’s
Another fragrance that is great for those super hot, high heat situations and I’m talking from personal experience because that is when I reached out for it last summer, it is Solaris from Penhaligon’s. I am obsessed with this perfume, you can see the dent is denting. For me this is the perfect balance between a really fresh citrus and a creamy floral.
This smells like a luxurious milky sun tan lotion but you know like the higher end ones maybe from Lancaster or like Clarins, those type of sun lotions. Citrus, fruity, tropical floral.
Blue Talisman
Now if you like this, you need to try this. This is Blue Talisman from Ex Nihilo and it’s a more unisex option which means that you can share it with your partner. Also it smells amazing on a guy, just saying.And it has a similar scent profile being a spicy citrus with ginger just like vibrato but there’s more stuff going on in this perfume. It first of all opens with a really juicy pear. It’s as if you were biting into the juiciest of pears and there’s also a floral dimension with orange blossom.
Oh it’s so freaking good. Dry down is where the magic happens because that is when the molecule Akigelawood will reveal itself the most. And Akigelawood is a molecule that smells like a fresh clean patchouli.
Imagination from Louis Vuitton
I’ve been doing a huge audit on the citrus fragrance category and literally smelling over a hundred citrus perfumes. I’ve identified some amazing new fragrances to try influence myself into buying some of these and one of them was Imagination from Louis Vuitton. I was so impressed with some Louis Vuitton fragrances.
Some of them don’t last very well on the skin but this one has a pretty good lasting power. It’s around like six seven hour mark which is great for a citrus perfume and it smells amazing. An aquatic citrus. It has that watery side of citrus. Lots of lemon and it dries down into a neroli tea like scent.
Blanche Bête
No summer can go without Blanche Bête from Liquide Imaginaire especially if you’re going to a beach destination. This needs to be in your suitcase. Such a sexy summer gourmand. Think cacao butter blended with coconut milk and some light white florals in the background. It’s mouth-watering. It literally makes my mouth water.This is so good. It’s very long lasting.
