Dior Resort 2025: A Fall Like Never Before

Another year another Dior resort collection. This time Maria Grazia Chiuri became the Marry Queen of scot but just for one day. With army of Models wearing lace, black velvet and tartan. Marching in Italianate gardens at Scotland’s 15th century Drummond Castle.

Clare Hunter, the textile expert and author of “Embroidering Her Truth: Mary Queen of Scots and the Language of Power” was a very big influence on the collection. The collection has many great pieces and as many flops in them. The collection was full of punk references, including tartans in vibrant purple, crimson red, and mustard yellow.

There were many celebrities that were attending including all the brand ambassadors like Jennifer Lawrence and Anya Taylor-Joy, among other friends of the house.

Punk reference seen through the collection. Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren and the Bromley Contingent inspired the collection with classic Dior touch.

Lace was also a very prominent in the collection giving the punk a more modern look and romanticizing the punk by using the lossy lace all over the garments. There were lace dresses with studded built used to snatching the waste

There were alot of shear dresses with hard structure corsets that were not my favorite in the collection. Especially these dresses with stiff corsets and english words written all over it. it became so tacky. But also there were some cool color combinations that attracts my eyes

There were many crazy accessories in the collection from shear vale’s, lather chokers with studs inside them. The bags’ shoulder straps are decorated with heraldic symbols that combine the House’s emblems with those of this fascinating country. Wonderful finishing touches include necklaces with delicate black ribbons and pendants featuring marine motifs, a poetic evocation of the seas that shape the beauty of coastal landscapes.

Final Thoughts

Lastly the collection was very good with a few let down pieces. And i myself like the vivine inspired punk looks and the accessories was a very big hit for me. I hope Maria Grazia Chiuri remain on this track. Further we can get more cool and innovative Show without losing the touch with the classic Dior.
