Hi Readers! Balenciaga ahs its Ressort 2025 Collection. Raise your hand if you’re tired of seeing the same Balenciaga collection. Oh my god, there are so many of us! All jokes aside, if you haven’t seen this collection, trust me, you have. Like, have we seen this coat before? Yes, we have.
Have we seen the shorter, sexier version of it? Yes, we have. What about oversized black blazers? Yeah, we’ve already seen that also. Babes, it’s getting too repetitive at this point.
In my opinion, the shoes stole the show. Be it these Frankenstein platforms or the platform sneakers, which in my opinion, is the best shoe that Balenciaga has in the last couple of years. Whoever made these deserves a tracksuit from Balenciaga.
The only thing you have to decide, do you want a tracksuit from a new collection or very similar from a previous collection? Because if there’s one thing that Balenciaga has, that is tracksuits. On top of it all, I’m tired of relying on gimmicks. The shoe box that is actually a bag made out of leather.
Puffer or trench coat as a bag. Another gimmick. While the focus of the collection was the elongated silhouette, some of the better pieces came at the end of the show.
Especially this dress, which could be one of his best dresses in a couple of years. Interesting piece was this plastic tablecloth you could find in any former Yugoslavian garden. But at one point, I caught myself looking at the hair of these models because that was the most interesting thing about the whole look.
With all that being said, I’m afraid to see the next Balenciaga collection because it’s so predictable that there is no element of surprise.
