Yup, Rihanna has entered the haircare game, and unsurprisingly, she knows exactly what she’s talking about!
If you’ve been keeping up, Fenty Hair is now the fourth major celebrity-founded hair brand to launch this year—right behind Beyonce’s Cecréd, Rita Ora’s TypeBea, and Brooke Shield’s Commence. It’s dizzying, *but* this particular launch feels right for several reasons.
To start, RiRi is a recognized fashion trendsetter who has been consistently creating styles, including eye-catching hairstyles, for almost twenty years. Next, think about how we’ve been anticipating this haircare line since 2021, following the announcement by the Grammy-winning artist that she had secured the Fenty Hair trademark. Lastly, RiRi has successfully established a billion-dollar business through her Fenty Beauty, Fenty Eau de Parfum, and Fenty Skin brands—so why not expand further?
“Hair has always been very personal to me—my hairstyles have been markers of my evolution and growth over the years—so launching Fenty Hair was something I was really passionate about,” Rihanna explained in the official press release.
I was fortunate enough to be one of the initial testers of this thrilling new range of vegan, free from sulfates, and free from silicone beauty items before anyone else. Initially, I experimented with these products at my home.
The primary aim of this assortment is to enhance the strength and health of hair, with Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty brand concentrating on formulating products that fortify the hair to create remarkable hairstyles. The secret behind their success is their unique formula, Replenicore-5, which is packed with vital components to maintain your hair’s healthiness. Additionally, the brand worked with their preferred celebrity hairstylists, Ursula Stephen and Yusef, to provide guidance on the creation of this collection.
Fenty Hair products
So far there are nine main haircare and styling products to choose from: one shampoo, two conditioners, one treatment, four stylers, and one tool.
Here’s the brand’s rundown of each product.
The Rich One Moisture Repair Shampoo ($29): A gentle cleanser, flexing its plush, moisturizing lather, making something so everyday feel so extra. Replenicore-5’s proteins, amino acids, and antioxidants help to repair split ends and reduce breakage.

The Comeback Kid Instant Damage Repair Treatment ($36): Powered by Replenicore-5 and bond-building technology, this treatment penetrates deep into the cortex to provide inside-out repair, support damaged keratin structures, and strengthens strands. It can be used an a leave-in or rinsed out depending on your hair’s needs.

What type of hair is Fenty Hair made for?
One phrase: all in! Absolutely correct—the brand ensured that every hair texture and type could engage with the products. The mixtures were carefully adjusted and examined to accommodate everyone.
What is Fenty Hair’s Replenicore-5 technology all about?
This powerful mix of essential amino acids, proteins, and antioxidants is designed to provide a well-balanced supply of nutrients for your hair.
It has undergone clinical trials to restore, fortify, moisturize, condition, and shield. Rihanna is known for her careful consideration in creating the formulations of her beauty items, including her Barbadian heritage, and her hair care products are no different. The formula includes Barbados Gooseberry, repurposed jackfruit extract, vegetable protein that has been broken down, and green tea extract along with amino acids. Essentially, these ingredients collaborate to achieve what the brand refers to as“a continuous loop of repair.”
My Fenty Hair experience and results
I was lucky enough to be one of the first to get my hands on the products a few days. The only product I didn’t receive was the 3-in-1 Edge Tool but got to test that bb out during my salon visit with Ursula Stephan several weeks later.
So, my at-home experience was really amazing—and the timing was perfect because I was prepping my 4b hair to get knotless box braids installed the next day. I started the process with The Rich One Moisture Repair Shampoo, and let’s just say my hair needed plenty of moisturizing and repairing. I appreciated that this gentle sulfate-free formulation had enough lathering to cleanse my hair but not strip my strands and leave it feeling brittle or dry. That’s a difficult balance to strike—and perhaps it has something to do with the Replenicore-5 complex.
Next, I went in with The Rich One Moisture Repair Conditioner. On this step, I used a detangling brush to work the creamy but not-too-heavy product through my curls. I can always judge a great conditioner if I’m not fighting to detangle and if the product penetrates my hair in the process— and this one checked both boxes. I then used The Richer One Moisture Repair Deep Conditioner. Double conditioning isn’t always necessary, but in the spirit of trying out everything and getting my hair ready for these braids, I went all in. I would use this bb once/twice a month or whenever my hair is screaming for hydration.
